Meme: Five things in my wardrobe that I wouldn't be without.

I kinda object to being named in this as Simone did start it for girls but anyways. Phoebe tagged me but I'll do it in hope that she'll blog more often.

Five things in my wardrobe that I wouldn't be without.

1. Black shorts. Multi-type ones that I can wear playing sport but look ok at work.
2. Black jeans- again having very little fashion sense they go with anything
3. NQ Fury shirt. Every one needs one of them.
4. some sort of collared shirt- I have trouble wearing T-shirts to church- really struggle.
5. clothes that I can get dirty and they don't matter. Actually most of my clothes this applys to.... hmmmmm
I tag Carly and Chris also in the hope they will blog more often

Gold Coast AFL team

Might need to be an AFL fan to get this. Funny song from the AFL footy show

What every event needs

For an event to be truly successful it helps if you have a great theme song. Of course this means it will be played so many time we will be extremely sick of it. But who can take songs like simply the best without thinking about rugby league. Or You'll never walk alone" without thinking about Liverpool. Or the All Blacks without thinking about the Haka. For Aussies- Delta Goodrum singing 'Together we are one' is all I can remember about the commonwealth games in Melbourne.
Soccer has a history of have good songs for its World Cups. Often they aren't even decent songs- but throw in a few different languages and its a winner- e.g. Ricky Martin with "Uno dos trees (one two three) Ole ole ole" (Cup of life I think is it's real title) from the 1998 World Cup
This seems what South Africa seems to have done with this years Theme song. I don't mind it- what do you think? (keep an eye out for major soccer stars in the crowd)

Ohhhh Ohhhh Ohhhhh Ohhhh
Give me freedom! Give me fire !
Give me reason! Take me higher!
See the champions Take the field now !
You define us, make us feel proud!

En las calles muchas manos levantadas celebrando
Una fiesta sin descansó los países como hermanos

Canta y une tu voz grita fuerte que te escuche el sol
El partido ya va a comenzar, todos juntos vamos a ganar
Unidos!!
Chorús spanish
Seremos grandes seremos fuertes
somos un pueblo bandera de libertad
!!!que viene y que va, que viene que va!!!

Chorús English
when Iget older Iwill be stronger
They will call me freedom, just like the waving flag.
Now waving your flag X6 oh ho oh oh oh oh oh oh oh

Danos vida danos fuego que nos lleve a lo alto
Campeones o vencidos pero unidos a intentarlos

In the streets are hands and lifting
As we lose our inhibitions
Celebration is around us, every nation all around us.

Singing forever young, singing songs underneath the sun !
Lets rejoice to the beautiful game
And together at the end of the day.

Proformed K'naan and David Bisbal "Waving flag"

The force is strong with this one.

Ever wished you were a part of Star Wars. Well Casey Pugh, a developer with video-sharing site Vimeo, decided to recreate the original film in 15-second fan made grabs. This is the trailer/scene from the movie below. I got this from here and here is a interview with Casey

Quick question

Noticed something on the weekend. Why do we hardly ever pray for minister's wives? Is their ministry not valid? Or If a candidate and his wife are both studying at bible college why do we only pray for the candidate? Or even if she isn't studying isn't the fact that she is able to support them by looking after the kids a big thing to pray for?
Is that just our denomination or is it our male egos coming through?

South Africa is getting fired up for World Cup fever

I'd love to go- hopefully this is remembered for the football not for anything else. The last clip is well worth watching

Would anyone notice

Had a few people say this to me. Gotta say I feel the same way too.
