2 ways to live.

Had a thought about 2WTL format. How well do we understand the concept in todays society of rulers or kings? Is it a positive or negative connentation. I think kids really wouldn't get it

Yeah - except any boy who grows up reading about knights and swords, and any girl who grows up wanting to be a princess...

Sure, there's an extra step there, especially because our monarchy is such a figurehead type thing and not an actual role , but it's not a foreign concept. Completely.

Children build much of their understanding of the world from the concrete - what they experience - and from books and children's television.

Kings as rulers feature fairly predominantly in children's narratives, portrayed both positively and negatively, so kids would definitely have some understanding of kings and rulers. Because we have all been kids, we have all experienced this narrative.

The other thing is that a king as a ruler is a far more tangible and easy to define concept than a president or prime minister.

What do you think would be a good alternative?
