Often the American Superbowl adds are the main reason people watch american football. Why because it is long and boring. What we see on aussie TV is the shortened version. This year Focus on the Family has teamed up with College football superstar, who Nathan (mistakenly) alluded to here, Tim Tebow to do an anti abortion add. It will be interesting to see if it airs.

I find it quite ironic that their argument ‘good thing she didn’t abort because look what he turned out to be’ implies that the worth of the person is wrapped up in their abilities and achievements rather than life being sacred because we are created in the image of God. What if he was born with one arm and a speech impediment, would they use him then?
The ad is taking a bit (much) of a flogging at stuff christian culture likes http://blog.beliefnet.com/stuffchristianculturelikes/2010/02/tim-tebow-mom.html
I didn't "mistakenly" allude to him - I alluded to him and called the sport he plays NFL. The same way I'd call a player playing AFL in the VFL and AFL player...
